The arrangement is deliberately unglamorous. It is not one large model asked to run the group; it is a set of small agents, each narrow, each writing to a shared record, coordinated by the schedule rather than by conversation.
Each agent has a written charter that fixes its scope, its sources, and its output format before it ever runs. An entity agent reads only its own entity's layer and writes only its own brief. An agent handed something outside its charter does not improvise — it defers. Narrow scope is what makes the output predictable enough to rely on unattended.
The agents do not talk to each other directly. They run in a fixed order and hand off through the shared knowledge base: entity agents write their briefs, then the coordination agent reads those briefs and assembles the cross-entity view. Ordering the run this way means each agent works from a settled record rather than from another agent's half-finished output.
Every agent produces a document. None sends an email, moves money, or commits the business to anything. The output is waiting for the operator, who approves and acts. Widening what any workflow may do without a human is a separate, explicit decision with its own recorded risk parameters — never a default the system drifts into.
Because a failed agent produces nothing rather than a visible error, the first check each morning is simply whether every scheduled brief was written. A missing brief is the signal that something needs a restart. This is a real cost of running work on a schedule, and it is handled by checking for presence, not by trusting silence.
What changedThe operator does not initiate any of this. It runs whether or not there is an active session, and the output is waiting when the morning session opens. Coverage stopped depending on bandwidth: every entity is read on schedule, every day, including the quiet ones — which is exactly where silent risk used to accumulate. The equivalent human arrangement is a properly staffed operations team — roughly one person per entity plus a coordination lead — with the institutional-knowledge risk that walks out the door whenever any of them leave.
What it requiredIt required three things. First, a single structured knowledge base the agents can read; without it, there is nothing trustworthy to brief from. Second, written charters — each agent's scope, sources, and output format defined before it runs, so no agent writes outside its scope. Third, a fixed governance boundary: agents produce, and the operator approves and acts. No agent initiates external communication on its own. Expanding autonomy in any workflow requires an explicit decision with documented risk parameters, and the boundary moves outward only after the system has proven reliable.
Where this transfersThe pattern fits any organisation where the number of things that need a regular look exceeds the number of people available to look each day, and where coverage currently follows whatever is loudest. It does not require multiple legal entities — a single company with several functions that each need a daily read benefits from the same structure. What is fitted to each business is the set of charters: which areas get an agent, what each one reads, and where the governance boundary sits between producing and acting. The boundary starts conservative and moves outward only as specific workflows earn it.
LimitationsAgent failures are quiet: a missing brief does not announce itself, so the operator's first check each morning is that the brief was written. Occasional infrastructure errors require a restart. The system replaces initiation and coverage, not judgment.
